Teaching Vibe to design

Vibe, monday's AI app builder, was generating functional enterprise apps — but every output felt templated. The root cause: hard-coded themes with no real design intelligence behind them.
I led the creation of the design.md method — a library of markdown files that teach Vibe's AI agent how to design. Each file encodes a distinct visual language: typography scales, color tokens, layout patterns, and component behaviors — all derived from real brand references like Linear and Apple.
The result: Vibe now generates apps that look genuinely different from one another — dark command-deck UIs, clean enterprise dashboards, editorial layouts — each with its own coherent visual identity
